Fairy tales and myths are being embraced everywhere from fashion to films and the photo shoot starring Haley by Remi Rebillard is just one example. Unlike many other photography projects, however, this series is not obviously inspired by fables. Instead, the photographer simply adds a dash of the whimsical in order to enchant his audience.
Haley by Remi Rebillard takes on the role of a modern mermaid, complete with the long, spiralling curls, although she does lack the important fishtail detail. Nevertheless, model Haley has an unearthly beauty that is only accentuated by her cold and damp surroundings. The seashell tattoo as well as the disregard for and comfortability with nudity only reinforces this mythical comparison.
