Haider Najeeb uses a Digital Medium to Promote Print Media

Alexandria, Virginia-based art director and animator Haider Najeeb explains on his Behance page that he has always been enamored with creativity, especially the visual arts. Everything from painting to decoration strikes his fancy, though his keenest interest is in the digital realm.

Najeeb was recently commissioned by the World Press to create a short, brand-building clip. In a slight twist of irony, he uses a digital medium of motion graphics and computer-generated imagery to create iconic world buildings rendered as newspaper constructions. Throughout the clip the viewer sees sheets periodicals weaving themselves into such famous landmarks as Big Ben, the Sydney Opera House, the Pyramids of Giza and St. Basil's Cathedral. The effect is decidedly cosmopolitan -- a welcome quality in a promotion about a global media company.
