Gummy Lamps come in a variety of colors, and are turned on and off by squeezing their stomach. Each lamp stands 7inches and is powered by either two AA or via a wall outlet or USB cable. Adults aren't technically supposed to use nightlights, but I think you could get an exception for the Gummy Lamp. The lamps are on sale now from Jailbreak Collective's online store.
