Sculpturally Pointed Shoes

These Leather Guarachero Boots Exaggerate the Pointed Toe

Comme des Garçons Homme Plus is a label synonymous with avant-garde and conceptual pieces. Its latest shoe range includes this pair of leather, Guarachero boots that aim to push traditional style boundaries.

The ankle-high boots were featured in the brand's Spring 2015 runway presentation -- a show inspired by dictator style-- and are a comment on the pointed toe shoe fad that has gone in and out of style in the last decade. Exaggerating the pointed toe to new heights, these Guarachero boots feature a 21" toe length.

The toe of these boots curves upright and is more sculptural than it is practical. Though they aren't the functional, the boots' design is an artistic translation of history and the tyrant-inspired styles that inspired it.
