Cheesy Typographic Branding

Gruia Cheese Packaging Uses Yummy Dairy Goods to Spell What's Inside

It is generally quite useful to label product wrappers with some text. The clever Gruia Cheese packaging concept has combined the inclusion of both lettering and images. Instead of settling on a clear typed Helvetica, the Gavrila & Asociatii studio branded its dairy goods with characters cut from blocks of cheese.

Referencing the cheese board, the background of each of the wrappers is printed with the warm texture of wood. On top of this, an arrangement of figures spells out the pressed curd variety inside, seemingly sculpted from that specific type of cheese.

Harder sorts have straighter outlines and seem to hold their shapes well; meanwhile, softer cheeses look quite like molded butter and have a slight melting effect. Gruia Cheese packaging is lighthearted, creative and directly communicates its scrumptious contents.
