Organic Big Box Eateries

Walmart Has Partnered with Grown Restaurant to Open a New Location

The Grown restaurant chain was started last year by Miami Heat basketball player Ray Allen and his wife Shannon, and is now growing thanks to a new collaboration with big box retailer Walmart. The new Grown location will be at the Walmart on Narcoosee Road in Orlando, Florida where it will sell the same organic, local, fresh and sustainable food it offers at other locations.

This new collaboration between Grown and Walmart speaks to a shift taking place in the market as larger brands double down on organic food options as seen previously with the news of Amazon purchasing grocer Whole Foods.

Speaking on the new Grown restaurant location, a Walmart representative was quoted saying, "Operating grown inside of Walmart makes the store accessible to every family, regardless of their mean income, making the move a game-changer for consumers."
