Superhero Tree Cosplay

This Realistic Groot Costume Cost Less Than $100 to Make

Everyone is bound to have their favorite 'Guardians of the Galaxy' character and those who count the lovable tree superhero as theirs will appreciate this Groot costume. Incredibly realistic, it surprisingly took less than $100 to make. This is due in large part to the readily available materials used to make the Groot costume.

Created by Calen Hoffman from Propcustomz, the main structure of the Groot costume is pipe insulation foam glued to an undersuit. To make a convincing tree-like texture, Hoffman used tissue paper soaked in water and glue for added texture, and moss from hobby stores for extra detail. Spray painted for a finishing touch, the impressive Groot Costume was created. Perhaps people will see it at next year's Comic Con.
