The Grönska Collection Pays Homage to the Swedish Landscape

IIse Crawford's Grönska collection for Kasthall factory pays a tribute to the natural landscape of Kinna Sweden. The implementation of colors and patterns are drawn from the views of the scenic landscapes. The Grönska collection is comprised of five designs in total and made its debut during Milan Design Week recently. Crawford's concept in mind was to bring more green into interior settings because of the positive impact it can have on health.

Each of the five rugs is constructed using a variety of tufting and weaving techniques, in order to emulate the colors and textures of the Swedish landscapes, as well as the typologies. The settings see a plethora of meadow, furrow, farmland, and vegetable patches and the Grönska collection aims to represent that as well.
