The Greta Pendent Lamp is Conveniently Customizable

At first glance, the Greta Pendent Lamp may look like a basic light fixture with a playful design. Upon further inspection, however, it becomes quickly apparent that the design is not only playful, but extremely practical as well. It features a singular drawstring feature that allows it to illuminate spaces in different directions.

Designed by Karin Wallenbeck, John Astbury and Bengt Brummer of Whatswhat for a school project, the Greta Pendent Lamp boasts an easily manipulated fan-like aesthetic that encourages people to open or close it at whim. According to the designers, "The inspiration came from the concept of potential energy about movement and rest--how we can change not only the character of the lamp but also the light it emits through motion."
