Mystical Multi-Layered Paintings

These Gregory Euclide Works Blur the Line Between Art and Reality

The newest works from artist Gregory Euclide are appropriately entitled 'Otherworldly -- Optical Delusions and Small Realities.' The term paintings should be lightly used when referring to Euclide's works, which are created using a variety of materials including acrylic, acrylic caulk, cast paper from Central Park boulders, eurocast, fern, and foam.

The brilliant work from Euclide is not the first of its kind, but certainly the largest scale and most awe-inspiring. The lanscape artist blurs the boundaries between art and realism with his infinite representations which are not confined to the frame in which they are held, but rather extend to to the ground creating a virtually three-dimensional village.

Euclide also recently created the artwork for the latest Bon Iver album, a musician who is known for his artistically alluring album art.
