McDonald's Germany Grass Paper Packaging is Being Tested

The McDonald's Germany grass paper packaging is being trialled by the brand to help incorporate a more eco-friendly option when it comes to the brand's disposable food packaging. The packaging will be used in place of paperboard boxes in order to reduce around 70% of the packaging material that would otherwise be used. The brand will be offering guests the opportunity to provide feedback on the new packaging design at participating restaurants.

The McDonald's Germany grass paper packaging is set to be tested across 30 restaurants during a two-month period and will be used across the majority of the brand's products. The paper packaging has been utilized by the brand on its McWraps as well as with select burgers since March 2021.
