This particular line of footwear follows this very theme with a medieval twist. The chains are perforated, allowing one's foot to interact with the ground while also protecting it from harsh temperatures, various liquids and humidity. According to designer Jorg Peitzker, the foot contains numerous never endings, and these should never be compromised by rubber, cloth, wood or any other material that is often place across shoes.
