Crowdsourced Walking Routes

Go Jauntly Makes It Easier To Discover And Share Walking Paths

Go Jauntly is a new app designed to get people to take the road (or path) less traveled. The app is filled with walking routes uploaded by users. These routes are accompanied by photos and descriptions that give interested walkers an idea of the path's difficulty and the accompanying scenery. Like Twitter, route descriptions are limited to 140 characters.

Although the majority of walks on Go Jauntly will run through parks and other open spaces there is another aspect of the app that should appeal to urbanites. That would be the ability to upload routes that run through cities. These routes could become neighborhood tours of sorts, helping people discover different parts of their city that were formerly unknown. The Go Jauntly app is currently available as a free download for iOS.
