Vans is Releasing a Footwear Line That Honors David Bowie

Vans is honoring David Bowie with a range of glamorous sneakers.

The silhouettes involved in this musically inspired project include the Slip-On 47 V DX, the Era, as well as the classic Old Skool, and the Sk8-Hi. Each upper is adorned with reference to a David Bowie album or one of his famous, extravagant and entertaining personas. 'Space Oddity' is recognized in a dotted Vans Era upper that boasts a black midsole with the words 'Space' printed accross, while the hit 1973 LP 'Aladdin Sane is paid homeage to via a pair of incredibly glamorous sneakers that spotlight the famous Ziggy Stardust motif. The other Bowie-inspired Vans silhouettes include nods to the icon's 1974 'Diamond Dogs' and the 1971 'Hunky Dory.'

The David Bowie Vans are currently available on the brand's web store, as well as from participating retailers for affordable prices that range from $64 to $80 USD.
