Sustainable Hotel-Led Clothing Swaps

Toronto's Gladstone Hotel Partners to Launch a Clothing Swap

Clothing swaps are becoming more common in urban cities as seen last Sunday in Toronto at the Gladstone Hotel.

The stylish boutique art hotel partnered with non-profit companies Fashion Takes Action and GH Marketplace to host a Fashion Revolution week. The event featured an exquisitely curated clothing swap in addition to showcasing various local, sustainable, and ethically made clothing brands. To participate, attendees brought their used clothing and accessories in advance and received tokens to purchase 'new to you' items at the clothing swap. Tickets to this chic, sustainable clothing swap were only $10.00 and guests were entered into a contest to win a free personal styling session or a free Closet Audit & Swap Guide by Citizenne.

Clothing swaps promote a circular economy which lets you downsize your closet and find some amazing pre-loved items without damaging the environment or your wallet. Fashion Takes Action hopes to raise awareness about consumption and change consumers habits for the greener good. The GH Marketplace hosts monthly swaps to protect our planet and promote the local economy.
