The Givenchy Haute Couture Spring 2012 Collection is Rich in Texture

Designer Riccardo Tisci presented his dark and dazzling Givenchy Haute Couture Spring 2012 Collection at Paris Couture Fashion Week. The collection featured tough textures and dark and neutral tones, like a full-length chocolate brown crocodile scale gown. The models, who included Natasha Poly, were outfitted with dramatic oversized bullrings that added to the line’s harsh feel. The collection included heavily detailed gowns embroidered with beads and lots of leather that created a combination of glamor and punk-chic.

Several of the looks were balanced out with an open-back gown and oversized metallic earrings. The Givenchy Haute Couture Spring 2012 collection was shot in a gymnasium, with basketballs and nets visible in the images. The detailed nature of the dresses mean that the backs of the gowns are just as enchanting as the front.
