Designer Riccardo Tisci turned to Egypt for the latest Givenchy Fall/Winter collection. Presented during Paris Fashion Week, this couture collection touches on classic Egyptian imagery, patterning and colors.
In terms of presentation, Tisci held the Givenchy Fall/Winter 2016 show at the Carreau du Temple which he had turned into a wooden maze. While Givenchy fans were taken to NYC last season, for a fashion show that featured lingerie dressing and chic tailoring, this season sees mysticism and a burst of kaleidoscopic color.
Many of the looks feature exotic animal print, gold trimmings as well as giant eye and geode embellishments. Lush fabrics such as satin, velvet and suede are used throughout the collection which contribute to its overall potent look.
