If you're anything like me, you love going to concerts, but have sadly experienced the pain of finding out that one of your favorite bands were recently in your area and you missed out simply because you had no idea; well, that is all about to change with the Gigbeat App.
The app is made for Android phones and is actually quite brilliant. The Gigbeat app scans the music library on your phone and then lets you know if any of the artists are playing an upcoming show in your area. So essentially, you would be getting a notification about upcoming concerts of your favorite bands without even having to look them up.
Even more impressive is the fact that the Gigbeat App determines your taste in music due to the songs you have in your library, and then also recommends upcoming concerts in the same genres. Seriously, this is the concert-going experience of the future. Here's hoping apps like this are developed for BlackBerry and iPhone soon.
