Fashion and Jewelery Are About to Get Much Edgier

It started with the ‘Chair One’ by Konstantin Grcic in 2007, and since then the geometry trend hasn’t stopped. The catwalks are full of straight lines, from fabric prints to outlandish shoulder pads echoing the move from organic lines to hard edged boxier shapes.

It seems the credit crunch times, or carrot crunch as I prefer to call it, is giving a darker, sharper, edgier, street style, showing us humble peeps that the catwalk can keep it real too!

As a jewellery designer, the question I’m asking is, will the trend spread to accessories? The answer seems to be yes, if Links of London’s Flutter and Wow Collection is anything to go by. Either way, it’s certainly resonant of the geometry craze!
