Cheesy Ice Creams

This Ricotta Gelato Recipe is Topped with Chopped Almonds and White Chocolate

This simplistic gelato recipe is almost ridiculously easy to make. Made by food blogger Yossy of Apt. 2B Baking Co. and adapted by a Brooks Headley dish, the ricotta gelato only requires four ingredients.

To make your own ricotta gelato at home, you will need good quality ricotta cheese (preferably made from sheep's milk), simple syrup, honey and just a pinch of salt. Yossy also added some chopped up salty fried Marcona almonds and white chocolate for a crunchy textured topping. It also makes for a nice combination of sweet, salty and creamy. Other add-on suggestions are berries, roasted fruit, cacao nibs or tomato jam and olive oil.

The gelato recipe makes for a fun and fancy yet uncomplicated twist on the classic Italian dessert.
