Geetech is Launching a Kickstarter Campaign for the 'THUNDER" 3D Printer

Geetech is launching a Kickstarter campaign for its upcoming high-speed 3D printer, the 'Geetech THUNDER.' The THUNDER is an all-metal 3D printer with high print speeds that, according to Geetech, do not come at the cost of print quality.

The THUNDER is capable of outputting print speeds of up to 300mm/s, which is anywhere from 30% to 70% quicker than its competitors. On top of this the printer offers a full X/Y closed-loop control system with an acceleration of 5000mm/s-squared for the X-axis and 4000mm/s-squared for the Y-axis. The printing volume of the THUNDER is 250mm x 250mm x 260mm, which is more than enough space for a personal printer.

In a video demonstration using its prototype, Geetech demonstrated the THUNDER printing a detailed model of a sailboat in just 20 minutes. The Kickstarter campaign will begin in early September, allowing individuals to invest in the printer for benefits such as early discounts.
