Gautier Semences Unveils Three New Lettuce Varieties Resistant to Mildew

To address the challenges posed by lettuce-specific mildew and the ongoing threat of Fusarium, Gautier Semences has developed a diverse range of mildew-resistant lettuces. These varieties offer protection against specific strains of Bremia, including Bl:29-40EU, while also addressing the concerns surrounding Fusarium resistance.

The International Bremia Evaluation Board for the EU recently identified three new races of Bremia lactucae: Bl:38EU, Bl:39EU, and Bl:40EU. As a result of this new finding, Gautier Semences has expanded its selection to include a wide range of lettuces with resistance to these newly identified races in response to this heightened parasitic pressure.

Among the featured varieties, the Godzilla, Goleador, Gogueta, Gongza, and J1477 lettuces cater to different growing periods, providing growers with comprehensive protection throughout the season.
