The Garage Magazine 'Food Dresses' Editorial is Inspired by Real Gowns

The Garage Magazine 'Food Dresses' editorial is filled with a delectable selection of couture designs. Although this is not the first time fashion has been crafted out of food, or any other seemingly impracticable material for that matter, it goes to show that people still have an appetite for such creations. Inspired by existing haute couture from such designers as Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton and Prada, the material is almost deceiving until a better look is taken.

Shot by Italian photographer Fulvio Bonavia for the fall and winter 2012 issue of the publication, the Garage Magazine 'Food Dresses' editorial was put together in collaboration with stylist Giovanna Battaglia. The luxe gowns were made from ingredients like walnuts, citrus fruits, lettuce, and anchovies.
