Futuristic Sleep Suits

Columbia's Sleep Suit Takes Napping Up a Notch

What keeps most people from falling asleep in public? The lack of anonymity or perhaps it’s that most public places are generally gross? Problem solved.

When I first stumbled across the Sleep Suit, the futuristic contraption looked liked a piece of haute couture from some wild fashion spread, but the inspiration for the Sleep Suit comes from Buckminster Fuller’s practice of Dymaxion Sleeping, not Jean Paul Gaultier. The project looks at the dynamic between personal space and the environment. If there is a way to sleep in on my way to and at work, I’m all for it.
