AMD has released a new plugin for Unreal Engine 5.1 that allows developers to easily integrate its FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.2 (FSR 2.2) technology into their games. FSR 2.2 is AMD’s latest version of its temporal upscaling solution that aims to deliver higher frame rates with minimal loss of image quality.
FSR 2.2 offers several improvements over the previous version, such as reducing ghosting artifacts and supporting more objects with World Position Offsets (WPO), which are used for animating foliage and other dynamic elements.
