Fruit and Vegetable Papers from 'de culinaire werkplaats' Restaurant

Culinary arts has always been as visually appealing as the art of fashion, but these fruit and vegetable papers, created for 'de culinaire werkplaats' has brought this to a new level.

Co-owners of de culinaire werkplaats, textile designer Marjolein Wintjes and chef Eric Meuring, have joined together to create an intriguing collaboration of food and fashion.

At their Dutch concept restaurant, all their specialty papers are made in-house through a process of flattening juices of blended plants in a dehydrator. In addition to featuring these edible papers as part of their five-course meals, these papers can be used for a variety of purposes. The exquisite art work around the restaurant is also made from edible papers.

For fashionistas, food-fanatics and eco-advocates all around, this is truly an inspiration. With de culinaire werkplaat, Wintjes and Meuring has effectively promoted sustainable fashion through showcasing elegant edible-fashions, including clothing as accessories in addition to the artistic work in their restaurant.

No doubt, a new era in food-fashion concepts.
