The ‘Freedomky’ House is Powered Independently

Architect studio Atelier Stepan has launched the ‘Freedomky’ house, a novel off-grid engineering concept. Run by Marek Stepan, the design resonates with the current need for shelter in countries with insufficient access to electricity.

The Freedomky structure is pre-made and can be assembled in approximately four hours. Its accessibility is bolstered by the fact that it only needs to be attached to a photovoltaics system and a diesel generator. Solar features and a waste-treatment unit provide the final touches, allowing the space to operate like the prototypical home.

Laundry facilities, fully equipped cooking spaces and optional patios are all a part of the Freedomky blueprint. Those who are willing to go the extra distance may also have a gym or office installed on a custom-made basis.
