The Free Educational Videos are on How Computers Work

Code.org is teaming up with Alaska Airlines to offer free educational videos on how the Internet and computers work as part of the airline's in-flight entertainment. Microsoft founder Bill Gates will star in the series of six videos, called How Computers Work. The series will also be distributed by Khan Academy.

The free educational videos are for students as well as adults. Bill Gates explains how digital literacy can benefit anyone: "Whether you use a PC, a smartphone, a wearable device, a connected home appliance, or a self-driving car, the same principles explain how all these computing devices function." The video series covers topics including software and hardware, memory, input and output, CPU, circuits and logic and binary and data.
