Industrial designer Frances Ranno has a passion for old school sneaks and making unique models. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Ranno knows how big a statement the Nike High Tops made when they hit the streets in 1985.
Frances Ranno loved these iconic kicks so much she made them into a desk lamp that any sneakerhead out there would die to have. She created the lamp by first making a mold of the 1985 Nike High Top shoe using a vacuum-forming machine. The bottom of the shoe then received a laser acrylic treatment to allow the light to shine through.
The shoes are a size 8 and feature an on-and-off switch for easy access. The power cord is cleverly wrapped as one of the shoe's laces.
