In order to add luxury to the experience of sampling perfumes and simultaneously reduce waste, Viennese studio Labvert crafted a set of glass fragrance testers for Dior.
Rather than spritzing a fragrance onto a paper card and confuse shoppers with mingling scents, this system's shape prevents scents from mixing. The testers are able to stand on end, and for use, they can be turned upside down so that the conical shape is turned upwards, towards the nose. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, the material selection also helps to amplify the projection of scent—such as the use of a small ceramic to hold a scented liquid. Combining craftsmanship and the decadence of perfume sampling, these fragrance testers have the potential to transform the experience of purchasing scents in-store.
