Realistic Food-Formed Landscapes

Foodscapes 3 by Carl Warner is Chock Full of Surreal Scenes

London-based photographer and food artist Carl Warner is back at it again, this time with his Foodscapes 3 photo series. As mind-boggling as his previous Foodscape creations, his work somehow straddles the line between realism and surrealism even though the Foodscapes 3 series undeniable resides wholly in the latter category.

What makes the Foodscapes 3 photo series particularly impressive is that they were created using real food items such as fish, broccoli and candy. Each scene is built on top of a large purpose built triangular table top and shot in layers since the process is very time-consuming and the food wilts fairly quickly. Warner also works with model makers and food stylists.
