Tofu & Pudding in a Balloon

Packaging is a necessary evil. We need it to preserve the items and keep them organized. However, once we open up our packages, and use the actual product, the packaging material is bound for the garbage can. That is why it's important to come up with creative reduced packaging that leaves a minimal footprint.

One cool example is this unusual packing of Tofu or pudding inside a balloon by Kamakura-komachi. The elastic material of the balloon can be stretched extensively to accommodate various sizes. Yet, once you pop it with a toothpick, the balloon is reduced to a tiny bit.

I think its an awesome idea. It's flexible and sure to be fun for kids.
