The Stunning Posters Relay Information About the Food Crisis in 2050

These beautiful illustrations are a visualization of the predicted food crisis in 2050. Created by artist Gemma Warriner, the series is called 'Twenty-Fifty.' Described as a "visual exploration" of what the global food crisis could look like, the project consists of eight data visualization posters.

Each piece represents an issue responsible for the future food crisis in 2050. This includes population growth, urbanization, food production, food waste, genetic modification, climate change, consumption trends and agrobiodiversity.

The data visualizations not only reflect research in this important issue, but also are beautifully designed. Warriner explains "design can have a large positive impact towards a sustainable future, and speak to a wider audience open to changing their habits as a result of new knowledge."

Twenty-Fifty is a finalist in the Kantar Information is Beautiful Awards.
