Dancakes is a celebrated food artist that is known for recreating famed pop culture character portraits out of pancake batter. In his latest collaboration with food blog Food Beast, the chef recreates characters from the hit HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones. The end result is a series of edible portraits of characters from the last six seasons done in detail using carefully placed colored batter.
Dancakes is able to recreate his portraits with such realistic detail by using squeeze tubes to release small amounts of the pancake batter at a time. This allows the chef to control and create lines using the liquid, that hardens upon contact in the pan. Working extremely fast Dancakes replicates Khalessi, Bran Stark and more using detailed dyed batter to create shading.
