Fonderie 47 Destroys Rifles to Create Stunning Accessories

By destroying something that exists for the sole purpose of extinguishing life, the designers at Fonderie 47 create jewelry and accessories that are absolutely stunning and support a noble cause. Their goal is to destroy the some 20 million AK-47 rifles that plague Africa. The weapons of destruction promote a mislocation of valuable resources, prevent economic growth and promote violence towards women and children.

Using "ancient techniques with cutting edge precision," the artisans at Fonderie 47 craft their designs out of destroyed AK-47s, turning that which is ugly and destructive into something aesthetically refined and beautiful. From cufflinks to rings to earrings, each item purchased goes on to destroy anywhere from 75 to 500 rifles in Africa.
