Focus 21 Superyacht Flies on Wing in Ground Effect

Combing a boat and a plane would logically create a "blane," right? Taking a cue from flying fish, some big French boat designers have configured this Focus 21 "yacht" to look like a giant wing. It will carry up to 15 passengers and flies using wing-in-ground effects. The yacht can flight about twice as high as it's wingspan.

These French guys aren't the first to come up with something like this. The Russians designed a "barge" to carry 100 tons at an astounding 500 mph. Also check out the Canadian blane we featured in September:
