Team-Based Party Shooters

Foamstars is a Splatoon-Like Shooter from Square Enix

Square Enix announced its latest third-person shooter title 'Foamstars' coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 at an unconfirmed date in the future. The game pits two teams of four players against each other. Based on the trailer, the game appears to be a hero-based shooter where different characters have different abilities they can take advantage of to win the match.

Foamstars takes inspiration from a Nintendo shooter titled 'Splatoon' where players shoot paint at the floor to manipulate the environment and increase mobility options. Foamstars, on the other hand, enables players to terraform the environment with large foam bullets. The foam can be climbed on top of, broken through, and used to shroud characters in a new dynamic combat system.

The company has yet to announce release date or pricing for the title, but it is shaping up to be an exciting party shooter worth keeping up to date on.
