Stackable Flower Boxes

Flowerworld's New Cardboard Bouquet Packaging Comes with Handles

DS Smith recently designed a new bouquet packaging system for Flowerworld, the massive florist responsible for supplying more than 21 million bouquets per year. The new pack is made from cardboard and has handles that allow it to be easily stacked, making shipping far more efficient than in the past.

In creating the new packs, Flowerworld challenged DS Smith to design something that could keep the flowers in pristine condition during shipping while also creating a sense of theater upon opening them. The packages are made from stiff cardboard, ensuring that the bouquets inside don't get crushed during travel. Further, the front face of the cardboard folds down to open, letting consumers see the entirety of the bouquet at once when it's revealed.

Not only do the handles on top of the pack allow for easy transportation, but they also act as braces for stacking multiple bouquets.
