Vividly Victorian Editorials

The Vogue Germany Fleur De Nuit Photoshoot is Evidently Antiquated

The Vogue Germany May 2015 Fleur De Nuit photoshoot re-introduces antiquated fashion themes. Stylists Christiane Arp and Lady Amanda Harlech worked with models Edie Campbell and Olympia Campbell who together channeled the classic, everlasting appeal of Victorian-era looks.

Featured in Karl Lagerfeld's images here are ginormous flowing tulle skirts, cropped tops and opulent dresses lined with gems. Although the materials and textures pop out in each image, the designer and photographer kept the lighting dark, adding a sense of mystery to the production.

Hair expert Eamonn Hughes furthered this sense of mystery with long, flowing waves and teased tresses. Lace face coverings an scrunched pieces lined the tops of these chaotic coifs, making them appear ladylike.
