Distracting VR Music Videos

The Fizzy Blood ADHD Video Simulates the Mental Disorder

The Fizzy Blood ADHD music video doubles as a virtual reality experience that shows what it is like to live with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder.

The British band's VR video is segmented into nine different screens, each of which is action-packed and tells a different story altogether. All together, it is impossible to pay attention to the happenings on the many screens at once, making it very challenging for one to keep their attention focused in a fixed place. Some of the scenes depicted include iPhone footage taken from the band on tour, a blow-torch cooking show and men wearing Speedos and crawling in paint.

The concept was inspired by the idea that the disorder is often compared to the experience of watching multiple TV screens simultaneously. Songwriter Paul Howells describes the end result as "weird" and "hyperactive."
