Fishy Chicken Wings

This Fish Sauce Chicken Recipe Replicates a Vietnamese Staple

Inspired by a trip to Vietnam, the duo behind The Ravenous Couple blog set out to recreate a fish sauce chicken wing recipe that captured their hearts overseas. Haunted by the sticky sweet garlic sauce coating a crispy chicken wing, the couple developed their own adaptation called Fish Sauce Pok Pok Wings.

The recipe is surprisingly simple and in addition to chicken, it only calls for a few basics like fish sauce, sugar, crushed garlic cloves, vegetable oil, cornstarch, plus some freshly chopped cilantro and mint. Although honey garlic and barbecue wing flavors tend to be favored in North America, this recipe makes it easy to recreate authentic Asian cuisine without having to leave your home country.
