Petrossian's 10kg Tins Are Filled with Excessive Amounts of Fish Eggs

When you think about fish eggs being a delicacy, you probably think of a small amount scooped onto a tiny appetizer—and that this is truly luxe. But Petrossian Paris, a brand renowned for its caviar is flaunting its extravagance with a huge 10kg caviar tin, now labeled "the world’s largest caviar tin."

The packaging on these excessive caviar tins are limited edition pieces that are lithographed, numbered and packed by hand. The tins are filled with Petrossian’s Tzar Imperial caviar and for a smaller taste of the caviar, Petrossian also offers a tin named after "Catherine the Great" with an amount of 5kg, or a smaller 2.5kg tin named after tsar Alexander.

Each tin is made to order with pricing only available upon request. But you can expect that the 10kg caviar tin won’t come cheap, since units of only 12g on its site come priced at a steep €24. This probably means that the tin will cost upwards of €100,000 or, $137,000.
