Fiat 595 Abarth 50th Anniversary Celebrates a Half Century of Speed

Those who love the 500 will want to get an eyeful of the Fiat 595 Abarth 50th Anniversary model. The Italian automaker's performance arm is celebrating the 50 year anniversary of the unveiling of the first 595 the way most car companies celebrate things, with a special model. Said special model is the most powerful 595 ever, according to Abarth, and comes equipped with a 1.4-liter engine good for 180 horsepower. Brembo brakes have been added to help slow all that speed down.

Aside from its beefy engine, the Fiat 595 Abarth 50th Anniversary also has other sexy accouterments, including 17-inch alloy wheels, Abarth logos and graphics and a stylish interior. The cabin is highlighted by red leather sport seats. Only 299 units will be made and the car will make its official debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
