The Fiat 500 Murcielago Packs Over 500 Horsepower

Just in case you were wondering, the Fiat 500 Murcielago is not an official crossover project between Fiat and Lamborghini. Italian tuning firm Oemmedi Mechanics decided to drop the Lamborghini Murcielago’s V12 6.2-liter engine, good for 580 horsepower, into a Fiat 500.

Even non-gearheads know that a Fiat 500 isn’t exactly built to accommodate a V12 engine. Oemmedi Mechanics completely rebuilt the 500, turning it into something of a rear-engine rat rod. Lamborghini wheels and a retractable wing were also added. No word on how the Fiat 500 Murcielago performs on the track, but you can hear it growling in all its glory in one of the many videos released. Hopefully an American tuning company will give car lovers something as awesome as this -- a Sonic with a Corvette’s engine would be a nice start.
