Code2040's Fellows Program for Latinx and Black Students is Now in NYC

In an endeavor to create access to opportunities for black and Latinx people within the tech industry, the Code2040 Fellows program is being established in New York City. This initiative not only helps students, it aims to address racial income disparity. The summer career accelerator began in 2012, but only recently came to the Big Apple.

The Code2040 Fellows program places black and Latinx students in career-building tech internships and workshops, including New York placements at Goldman Sachs, Spotify, Squarespace and The New York Times. Code2040 Co-Founder Laura Weidman Powers told Medium "As every company (regardless of industry) becomes a tech company, it is critical for diversity and inclusion to be a central part of this transition."
