Felipe Hess and Renata Pedrosa Design a Simple Apartment in Sao Paulo

The infamous Copan building in Sao Paulo designed by Oscar Niemeyer has been completely remodeled, which architect design duo Felipe Hess and Renata Pedrosa joined forces to do with this stunningly simplistic apartment. Leaving the existing columns in place and working with the building's existing charm, Felipe Hess and Renata Pedrosa created a home that focuses on the Brutalist aesthetic throughout the space; from concrete walls to rough wooden floors, the space is unassuming and ready to work for the inhabitant.

1500-sq feet in size, the apartment was stripped down to the wiring before Felipe Hess and Renata Pedrosa got their hands on it, but it's clear that the final product is nothing short of rustic, livable and homey.
