The Feerless App Warns Netflix Viewers Of Potentially Traumatic Scenes

Feerless is a brilliant new app, develoepd by 28-year-old Danielle Leong, that is designed to warn Netflix viewers suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

PTSD sufferers often suffer panic attacks that are triggered by seeing or hearing things that remind them of the original trauma that caused their PTSD. For example, a soldier who suffers from PTSD as a result of their time in battle may suffer panic attacks and episodes upon seeing an explosion scene in an action movie.

To prevent this sort of unpleasant and potentially dangerous occurrence, the Feerless app works with Netflix to warn viewers about upcoming images or scenes that could trigger a panic episode. Viewers receive a 30-second heads-up which gives them enough time to decide whether they want to continue watching or not.

PTSD is more common than many of us think, and the fact that panic episodes can be triggered so easily in sufferers makes Feerless an excellent download for anyone suffering from PTSD.
