Una Burke's Constricted Creations Are Inspired by Medical Braces

This quirky conceptual collection of body-shaped molds reminds me of an organic suit of armor and was created by designer Una Burke.

Born in the UK, Burke’s curious collection consists of "a series of eight physical geatures [sic] associated with the cause and effect of human trauma."

The sculptural but restrictive pieces were created to mimic a contorted female human body in a way that is reminiscent of prosthetic and medical braces.

In essence, Burke’s aim is to create organic forms that can double up as both fashion accessories and works of art to be exhibited in galleries.
