Yvette Yang Creates Couture Alphabet

Very clever and fashionably trendy Dutch designer and graphic artist Yvette Yang, creates a couture alphabet that represents relevant semi-annual fashion trends. If you look close enough (and are fashion savvy), you should be able to recognize the fashion era represented by her Fashion Font typeface.

Yvette Yang, a master student from St. Joost in the Netherlands, collected the pieces for her collage-style font from fashion-based lookbooks and magazines.

Implications - Yvette Yang was inspired to create a fashionista alphabet because of the idea that just like letters, clothing and accessories each have their own specific shapes. Yang's favorite letters that she created are M and V, which both feature some awesome high heels.
