Retro Fantasy Cosplays

These Cosplay Costumes Throw the Game of Thrones Characters into the 90s

Several months ago talented graphic designer Mike Wrobel redesigned popular characters from the hit HBO series Game of Thrones into 90s and 80s band members and now a group has transformed Wrobel's illustrations into fantasy cosplays. The images, juxtaposed along with Wrobels, are showcase fans dressing up as the popular fantasy characters if the show was set in the 90s.

Wrobel's illustrations beautifully capture characters like Cersei Lannister, John Snow, Arya Stark and Hodor dressed up in technicolor windbreakers, leather jackets and fun 80s makeup. The fantasy cosplays recreate these same images with real clothing and props inspired by Wrobel's graphic illustrations. These cosplay costumes make you wonder what Game of Thrones would be like if it was actually set in the 80s and 90s as oppose to medieval times.
